Color Your World -- Alima Pure Launch Event -- Through October 31, 2008When we opened our boutique in Santa Fe, the #1 request we received was for a fabulous mineral makeup. The truth is, we were already in the throes of research, sampling and trying out a number of mineral makeup lines. Nothing had really been up to our standards, until we hit upon Alima Pure. October First Friday - Autumn Scenes by Lura BrookinsOctober 10, 2008 5-7pm
We were delighted when Lura agreed to be our first featured artist back in April, and promised her we would host an encore performance this Fall -- and, unbelievably, here we are in October! The aspens are turning golden, chiles are roasting and the nights are scented with pinon; Autumn in New Mexico, my absolute favorite season. Lura has captured it beautifully in her plein-air pastel work, and we will be featuring aspens, cottonwoods and other scenes around Northern New Mexico. We will feature original artwork on our walls, and will also have matted prints available. These are a perfect memento of an Autumn trip to our area, or a beautiful addition to a local art collection.
October is a special time as well, as we are starting to bring in new items for the fall and winter seasons. A great time to sample and try out new scents -- warming Ginger whipped shea butters, lovely all natural perfumes and a wellness bath salt scented with eucalyptus and other supportive herbs and essential oils...Join us for refreshments and some socializing, hope to see you there!
October First Friday - In Honor of Breast Health Awareness Month
October 3, 2008 5-7pm
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month ( or as tonight's guest prefers, Breast Health Awareness) and to start off the month, we've invited local massage practioner Celeste Yacobini to join us with a demonstration of breast massage for breast health. Please note that this will be a closed event and seating is limited, so please call the shop at 505.992.6800 to register. Celeste has also agreed to provide us with a small number of her hand blended breast massage oil, which is made with Rose, Sandalwood and other delectable pure essential oils, which will be available in limited quantity throughout October. If you can't make it to the event, please contact Celeste to schedule a session; Celestial Body and Soul. I have booked a session with her later this month; by all accounts, she is an incredibly healing practioner, with a number of years of experience and will completely tailor the session to your needs.
September First Friday - Still Life Flowers & Fruits by Ginger DeLaterSeptember 12, 2008 5-7pm
Autumn is in the air in Santa Fe and to welcome it, we have Ginger DeLater's sweet framed miniature photographs. Ginger photographs her floral compositions with the flowers submerged in water, which gives a very fluid, ethereal quality to the photos. We have some medium sized prints, but most are very sweetly framed miniatures, which would look great on a desk or nightstand. These are priced from $23-$45 and make great gifts! Come by and meet Ginger on the 12th; artwork will be on display through October 6th. And, if you are a pet lover, you must check out Ginger at http://www.gingerrosephotography.com -- she does pet photo shoots and captures the absolute personality and cuteness of your four legged furbabies perfectly!
August First Friday - (Live with Beauty; Dream big Dreams) by Lisa ChunAugust 1, 2008 5-7pm
We are very excited to have Lisa Chun as the local featured artist this month! We will feature Lisa's gorgeous mixed media collage work; we will have an original, as well as frameable prints and small canvas prints. Also, we will have some of Lisa's original photography works and her soulful gifts collection. Artwork will be on display through the month of August; join us on AUG 1st for the reception with Lisa and refreshments. These events are always a great way to connect with other women in the community and try out and sample wonderful natural spa products as well. Hope to see you at the show.
July First Friday - "Wilderness Lives by Grace" by Claudia MelidonaJuly 4, 2008 5-7pm
Photographs by Claudia Melidona depicting the beauty of Northern New Mexico. The event is a fundraiser and sales will benefit Sky Mountain Wild Horse Sanctuary. Reception will include wine and refreshments as well as natural spa product sampling; we hope to see you there! The photographs will be on display through the month of July at Spabox Organic Apothecary located at 211 Galisteo Street in Santa Fe.
June First Friday - Goddess Event at Spabox Organic Apothecary June 6, 2008 5-7pm
An evening in celebration of the goddess! Our featured artist this month is Ana June, with a collection of stunning photography on canvas depicting birds and bees in flight. We will also have special shopping this evening with Malka Michelson of Healing Gemstone Jewelry by Malka showcasing a collection of gemstone bracelets, earrings and necklaces and Pamela Clum of Kisu Skincare/Plum Botanicals. Pamela will have samples available and demonstrate her locally made, exceptionally pure skincare.
We will be serving wine & refreshments and look forward to seeing you there! The artwork and jewelry will be available for the month of June at our boutique, which is located at 211 Galisteo St in Santa Fe, between Water and Alameda Streets.

Auction of Compassion

Spabox was honored to participate in the "Auction of Compassion," hosted by Ali MacGraw at the La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe.
The evening was filled with Indian music & dance and featured an authentic South Indian Cuisine dinner.
The auction included hundreds of wonderful items, including a deluxe Spabox and a Spabox spa party for 10.
The event raised over $75,000 for Tsunami relief.
